Saturday 12th January 2008

I am back and I am in one piece! (Which is a good start). We landed at 11am (GMT) this morning at Gatwick and I have yet to get any sleep. While I do not at the moment have time to go into the details, I plan to put together a monster blog post to cover the eight crazy days. For the time being let me leave you with a preview with some key ‘milestone’ moments from not just the holiday but the past week!
  • Date:4th January 2008 Time:11pm (GMT) Location: Island Bar, Caversham, Reading, Berkshire, England. Description: Celebrating Pav’s Mum’s 50th birthday with a surprise party! (Also playing the role of semi-professional photographer for the evening)
  • Date:5th January 2008 Time:11am (CET) Location: Hahnenkamm Run, Kitzbuhel, Austria. Description: Tumbling around at the bottom of the Hahnenkamm run, home to the annual world famous downhill race.
  • Date:12th January 2008 Time:2.55pm (GMT) Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England. Description: Home just in time for the 3pm kick offs, watching the players come out at Ashburton Grove on Soccer Saturday. Perfect!
There is so much to come, I think I will struggle to cover everything. I have blog notes on scraps of paper for a few days and then some gaps filled by electronic notes left on my N73. Plus there is the additional multimedia element to consider. Not just photos as you would come to expect but also video, which I will need to convert from DVD to divx and then upload to YouTube. So, as you can tell, I have my work cut out. There is so much to do but on top of this, I need to acclimatize back to life in England. Plus there is the over bearing factor of work bright and breezy on Monday morning. It really has been a month since I was last in the office. So long, that I’ve even forgotten where I work!
