Saturday 7th June 2003

Some of the music I have have been listening to the last week or so has been mostly dance / trance music. Although, I haven’t been listening to BBC Radio One at all since, January, I have tuned in a few mornings and particularly in the afternoons. On Friday 29th May lunchtime, I was listening to BBC Radio Two, when Jeremy Vine was speaking to a woman, who had been subjected to some hate mail, with reference to the caravan she owned, parked outside her property. The letters stated that if the caravan was not removed, the writer would take more “direct action”. A few days later, the caravan was gone. I then quickly jumped over to Radio One, to hear Mark & Lard, discussing the same subject for their daily news quiz. Mark felt that the ‘criminal’ had done the neighbourhood a favour. Obviously he was distancing himself away from the subject of theft, which of course he cannot condone. I was in stitches, having just heard the distressed owner of the caravan, spilling out her anger and bitterness towards the individual or individuals responsible. While, the other side are humouring themselves and their audience on the same subject!

On the subject of television and music themes, I was having a deep discussion with Sippy, regarding this. When I finally uncovered my Themed MP3 CD-rom, I talked to my friend, about a show, I remember from my childhood. It was in the early 90s and this show would be on ITV, around 5pm on a Saturday evening. It was one of my favourite shows as I grew up and the star always left me amazed and dumbfounded. He has of course now moved onto bigger and better things but you never know, they may rejuvenate the series. With this discussion, Sibtain commented that he would contact Bravo and ask if they would bring back the show to their channel on Sky Digital. As if, answering our prays, I was amazed that the following happened. It was Monday evening, 2nd June and I was channel-hopping before Eastenders was due to start at 8pm. I scrolled across to Bravo and was amazed to discover that the show in question was on. I quickly got on the text and informed my friend Sippy, who was over the moon. Well there is a much bigger fan in his household! 🙂 The show we are talking about? MacGuvyer, starring the legend that is Richard Dean Anderson, now part of the Stargate series.

I have been busy, working a few design ideas and concepts for the new site. There’s plenty of work to do, so don’t expect any major changes, at least for a few months. Looking forward to the rest of the weekend. Take care for now. Will update soon as always.
